Success and Stress in Today's Time
Consistency is not always the key. You have to try and experiment, giving each attempt the necessary time. Understand that the current time is unique because the level of stress today, especially in your 20s, is higher than ever before. In my opinion, this stress will only increase in the coming years. Today, the work related to careers has doubled compared to the previous generation. Of course, hard work was required in the past too, but today the logical effects on reality are far more intense.
Success Depends on Various Factors
Understand that success is not in my hands, nor yours, nor anyone else's. What is in our control is the process and how to make it effective. The way to do this is to think objectively. Every day, for at least half an hour, we should reflect on why we are doing what we are doing. Understand that you'll be doing something for your entire life, so you must question every aspect of your work, your life, and everything else. Ask yourself, "Why am I doing this work?" and "Is there a better way to do this?"
Work Smarter, Not Just Harder
In today's world, millions of people are already doing what you are doing. This is not just a belief, it is reality. Therefore, success depends on various factors. As I said, success is not in our hands, but the process is. Often, we cannot think objectively because our emotions overpower us. In these times of heavy reliance on phones and media, our minds are not as strong as they should be, and we aren't thinking as clearly as we should.
The Importance of Self-Reflection
To counter this, you must dedicate time daily—at least half an hour—to sit with yourself and analyze your life and work. In that half hour, ask yourself questions like, "Can this task be done more effectively?" or "Why am I doing this particular task and not something else?" Keep questioning until you feel clear. If you don’t get an answer in one day, it's okay—continue the next day. Don't let it go until you find the answer. You have to do this because our minds aren't as capable as they used to be.
The Overload of Information
Today, our minds are overloaded with so much information that we can't think clearly anymore. The solution is to clear your mind by sitting with yourself. This requires effort, but it's essential. Most people don't want to think deeply because they don’t want to deal with the mental pressure, but those who are willing will find clarity.
Objective Thinking Leads to Success
The work must be approached objectively. If you can spend even two hours thinking smartly about any problem, then you are truly a player in the game. Remember that the work can only be evaluated through the process, not the result. The result is just a prediction based on calculations, but it can't be known accurately. That said, it's important to think about the result while continuing with the process.
The Importance of a Clear Process
If the process doesn't work as expected, ask yourself, "What else can I do?" Once you're clear about the process, your fear will decrease, and your confidence will grow because you'll have a fundamental understanding of how to move forward. It's crucial to first solve your own problems before trying to solve the world's problems. Understand your own issues and sort out your life before worrying about anyone else.
Emotions Are Not Helpful in Work
Emotions can cloud your judgment when you're working. While emotions may be useful in relationships and other areas, they have no place in work. Work must be done objectively, based on data, facts, and reality. By doing so, you'll improve your chances of success.
Dedicate Time for Self-Reflection
You must take half an hour every day to sit with yourself, free from distractions, including your phone. Keep your phone away because even its presence can distract you. Spend that time with just yourself, questioning what's going on in your mind and seeking clarity. This daily reflection will help you grow. The journey of growth starts from this simple step.
Conclusion
For now, this is enough. Thank you, and we’ll meet again.
