Problems As A Part Of Life
Problems as a part of life | A different perspective on viewing our life's problems.
In real life, there will always be ups and downs, and facing them is what life is all about. Sometimes, we get so overwhelmed by problems that we can't think clearly. Whatever I'm saying might seem pointless or any motivational or inspirational talks might seem useless at that time, but if you understand this perspective, it might lead to some solutions.
Humans can deal with problems in two ways: either get overly distressed by them, which you might have become, as it's human nature to be emotional about disruptions or frustrations caused by anything going wrong, or you can deal with the reality right away. You acknowledge that a problem has occurred, but you don't dwell on it for too long. You might spend a couple of hours on it, but not more than four to five hours, and then you move on, focusing on what's truly important for you in the long run.
Because what does the actual meaning of a problem imply? It means something has deviated from what we desire or expect. But whether these things are within our control or not, or what we want and what we do, is somewhat in our control. Yet, many things happen according to human basic nature. Like, if someone says something hurtful to us, we will feel hurt. This is a basic nature. Now, think, it's not possible not to feel hurt if someone says something wrong to you. Similarly, if problems arise in life, they will cause pain, that's for sure. Understanding how to deal with it is what you need to develop within yourself.
Think about it in the long term. What is the actual probability of what you're doing right now? For example, if a problem arises, you can either let it overwhelm you, cry day and night, which would be a big problem for you because you're not getting over it, or you can get over it quickly. It's okay to feel sad initially, but you've overcome it very soon, which is good. Now tell me, the problem is that when problems arise, all these talks become useless. It only increases sorrow during sorrowful times. Understand that when a problem arises, you won't feel good, and how can you completely eliminate that? Just accept that problems will come and you will feel bad. Now think, if there were no problems, what would happen? Look at what the actual problem is, if it can be mitigated in actuality, then stop it. First, understand its cost, understand its root. If it can be changed, change it, but if it's not changing right now, then some things are such that they can't be changed.
Understand this, that some things add to the basic nature, and think about what you can actually change. Sometimes, our minds make something very big, even though it's nothing. So attack real problems with full energy, not psychological or cyclical problems. Those will be cleared only through understanding and might take time, but the real problems in this world, the ones we face, like walking with truth, are also problems if looked at in actuality. Because you are walking with something that's teaching you a lesson, but still, you have the courage to walk, then that's real life, and you are a real hero in that. So, be a hero in your real life.
Thank you.
