Really Worried About The Future. What Should Do?

Worrying about the future is like thinking about something that doesn't even exist. Thinking about something that doesn't exist is a sign of foolishness. You need to become wise, not foolish.

In today's times, worrying about the future has become as common as any other thing. Even science acknowledges that the biggest concern for people nowadays is related to their future, causing them distress. This problem is quite common. So, let's not focus on the problem itself but instead, delve into the solution. What should our mindset be? How should we think about dealing with these issues? Let's understand things not based on beliefs but on facts. Can we control our future? What is the actuality of the future? Our mind often wanders about the future, assuming what might happen, but we don't really know what will happen. Just as I can't ask you what will happen exactly 12 hours from now. We are merely thinking about what might happen, not what actually will. We need to step out of this thought process because what we are thinking about might not actually exist in the future. We need to focus on what actually exists now, on the present moment, rather than living in our thoughts.

Living in the present moment.

Most of the worries that haunt us are about the future, whereas we don't know what will actually happen. We only know what is happening now and what we are doing. If we practically look at it, we have a hundred percent control over what is happening now, what we are doing now. We can even credit our future to our present actions, to some extent, based on calculations. For example, as I write this blog, I can only predict that it will be published and read by people, but I don't have control over how many will read it. It's a game of probability and success. We can predict to some extent what might happen, but we don't exactly know what will happen. Therefore, worrying about the future is useless when seen in actuality because we don't know what will happen. But what we do know is what we should do based on what is happening.

Predict your future through your present actions.

Understand that I have no relation to your future. It's a fact that our future is not in our hands. Our past and future exist only in our thoughts, which we give value to, but they don't actually exist. What you need to do is shift your value to your present. The more value you give to your present, the better. Ask yourself if what you are doing now is actually important for you and based on what you can predict. Don't be a hundred percent sure because you don't know what will happen, but know this much: this is happening now, and then do your best. The ultimate goal is to do your work with integrity and honesty, like nobody else in this world, with creativity.
